About
Hi, I’m Jay Stewart

I’m passionate about helping people and organisations to realise their true potential. After 25 years as a manager and senior leader, with many of those years involved in therapeutic and behaviour change organisations, I’ve learnt a thing or two about what motivates and enables potential.
The most important investment anyone can make is in themselves and their teams, creating the space to think and develop. Moving from the incessant busyness, that sometimes feels like just surviving, to really thriving as a person and as an organisation, requires a shift in mindset.
I’ve worked with hundreds of people in helping them to achieve their potential. My very early years of work were invested in helping young people to widen their perspectives and raise their ambition. This gave me a passion for enabling potential and led me to working with addictions and mental health and learning how behaviour and our life course can be changed so dramatically through shifts in thinking and the ways we see the world. I became a manager and a senior leader in a large national social enterprise, working with scores of teams, leading 1000’s of people through challenges and transitions over the years.
Understanding the art of leadership and what is needed to enable development and change success became my passion for many years. Through this experience I learnt that a deeper self inquiry was needed to become a better leader and a more fulfilled human being. My personal development led me to coaching which built on my previous therapeutic practice and my extensive experience as a manager and leader. Almost going full circle, my coaching practice is now a return to working with individuals and teams, to utilise my learning in enabling others to widen perspectives, grapple with the challenges and develop skills to succeed in their ambitions and in their own developmental journey.

With over 25 years experience as a manager and leader I’ve learnt that the biggest constraint we have on reaching our potential is often ourselves.
Seeing in new ways, opens possibilities and freedoms to be able to achieve the seemingly impossible.
